How to spot a real Louis Vuitton

This last week I have spent many hours on Ebay researching the Keepall B 45, my  dream luggage. I have done research after research on this topic in hopes to purchase an authentic one and if it's any consolation, I still haven't made a purchase. It takes a lot of time and energy to go through and compare bags to originals but here are some tips that will hopefully help you, as they have me!

In this day and age, counterfeit Louis Vuitton bags are all over the place. Not only that, but the work put into counterfeiting has increased tremendously and it can be really hard to tell if you have an authentic bag.

1 - "D" rings. Authentic Louis Vuitton uses "D" rings a lot and are probably the most common ring used on the bags.

2 - If it is an older bag, (before the early 90's), the "f" in france, will be LOWERCASE.  In the newer bags, the "F" is capitalized.

3 - If anywhere on the bag, (luggage tage, stamp, etc) it solely says 'Louis Vuitton', it is not legitimate. A bag will always say 'LOUIS VUITTON, PARIS, made in france, or something along those lines. Also something to be aware of is Louis Vuitton DID make purses elsewhere. Their is a Louis Vuitton line from the USA, and Spain as well.

4 - Know the product. Check on the actual Louis Vuitton site to make sure the product is actually a product. For example, Louis Vuitton never made a multicolor backpack.

5 - The font on the stamp is important and if the two T's on Vuitton touch, the bag is not authentic. Also the "O' on Louis, need to be almost perfectly rounded.

6 - Stitching. The stitching on the bag is VERY important. Louis Vuitton is a high quality name and no authentic bag will have backstitching, stitching from the outside of the bag running through the inside, uneven stitching or anything else that looks low quality. Also, all Louis Vuitton items will have yellow threading coated in beeswax.

7 - Check out the monogram placement on bag. the LV will always line up and most of the time the logo will be in the middle down the bag, between the two handles. However, there are a few exceptions to his (A couple of the Keepall's and a few others)

All of this being said, the most important thing to remember is that Louis Vuitton is a top notch brand and wouldn't make anything less, so if a bag or wallet seems cheap, it's fake,

Another thing to be aware of is that these are tips mostly for purchasing online. Most of the bags on Ebay are fake, and if they claim to be from an "outlet" or something along those lines, they are also fake. Purchasing through Louis Vuitton is the only way to confirm 100% that the bag is authentic.

Love you all! Don't get scammed (: xoxo

Contacts or glasses?

Good morning Lovelies!

In the time that I have been M.I.A, a few things have changed in my life. I have a very cute and sweet boyfriend, I have started dancing again, I started a different job (bye Starbucks), and I switched out my big black frames for contacts! I guess looking back, my life has changed more than I realized, but certainly in a better direction.

That being said, I have come to the conclusion that contacts have indeed been better than glasses and below is why!

1 - Contacts are easy once you figure out YOUR way to put them in and take them out. I can't even tell you how many Youtube videos I've watched on those two subjects, but I can tell you that none of those worked for me. I realized that everyone has there own way of doing it and it's the best way for each of us.

2 - You can't feel contacts. Glasses move around on your face and you have to consistantly push them up. Which being completely honest, doesn't bug me but it might be an issues for others.

3 - Contacts give you better peripheral. If you look to your far left or far right wearing glasses, it becomes apparent how bad your vision is without them. With contacts in, they cover all the bases and you're only reminded of your terrible vision when you take them out.

4 - Sunglasses. I know there are tons of options out there for prescription sunglasses and all of that, but what if you go to Target and find a cute pair there that you want to buy on the spot? I needed that sort of freedom in my life, and I will tell you that the day after getting contacts, I did that very thing and it was everything I'd ever hoped it would be.

5 - Rollercoasters! I don't know about anyone else, but wearing glasses to amusement parks has always scared me. It strikes a new kind of fear into you when you realize that your vision could fly off your face at any twist or turn, and it also strikes a new kind of fear into you when you ride rides blind. That I will tell you, makes the rides a whole lot more thrilling and not necessarily in a good way. I haven't been to any amusement parks since getting contacts, but I am certain I will be able to go without having those fears in the back of my mind.

6 - You can wear eyelash extensions or falsies better! I have been slightly envious of those people with naturally long eyeslashes since mine are so short you can't even tell I have eyelashes without mascara on, so I am finally getting the eyelash extensions that I have dreamed about for a while now and I couldn't be more excited!

7 - Confidence. Wearing contacts has made me more confident. I truly never had a problem with glasses, I felt like they looked fine on me but having contacts just gives you new freedom and new confidence. It's a good feeling.

Remember that underneath it all, looks isn't what it's about. You can enjoy all of those things with contacts or glasses, it's just fun to have two different options. Love you all! If you have any questions feel free to email me or comment below! XOXO  and yes, I'm holding a donut.

7 ways to feel more girly and fab.

1- Get your nails done!
Get acrylics or just paint them a fun color at home! You will feel much more confident, happy, and girly when you're finished!

2- Treat yourself to something special.
Whether it be buying yourself a nice cup of coffee, getting a massage, or splurging a little on the cute boots you saw at the mall... Do it! Treat yourself (and others) the way that you want to be treated!

3- Buy yourself a cupcake.
It is OK to buy yourself a cupcake. Even if you don't think you need it. Pick out a cute cupcake from a cupcake store! (Most of the time they will put it in a cute box with a cute bow and then you feel special carrying your cute cupcake box around.)

4- Do some stretches.
You will feel so much better afterwards and better about yourself!

5- Light some candles.
Because why not? They smell good and give a nice relaxing atmosphere. Let me recommend the Bath & Body Works Banana candle. It doesn't necessarily smell like bananas but it does smell amazing! I use the wallflower in my bedroom.

6- Splurge at PINK.
I don't know what it is, but wearing VS and PINK brand just makes you feel better about yourself. It is a femine brand that gives you confidence.

7- Love yourself.
You don't have to go out and buy yourself something to feel girly, girly is a state of mind. You need to be confident in who you are and keep yourself mentally and physically healthy.

Xoxo

P.s I'm sorry I haven't posted in a couple weeks Lovelies! That is changing. I promise I will be more frequent! I want to hear how all of you guys are doing. Comment below and lemme know. (:

Color Outside the Lines

Hello my Dears! So this morning for my university fashion class I got to spend my time at the local art museum. I'm still a kid at heart where I find them interesting for ten minutes and then I'm ready to go home but today's trip was a bit different. While I was there walking around trying to find my "favorite" piece of art I came to the conclusion that my favourite pieces were the ones that colored outside the lines; the ones that where unique, the pieces that I'm sure right when it was done, the artists parents were like "oh hon, don't quit your day job". Ha just kidding, (I hope your parents wouldn't tell you that, maybe just think it.) But anyways, you get my point. My favorite pieces were the ones that were beyond unique.

I feel like every single person is born beyond unique but then society gets ahold of them and all of a sudden we are all the same. We stop doing what we love, to conform to the world.

A young man came into my old workplace and I managed to strike up an interesting conversation with him. He told me that he was passionate about being a musician, he'd made a couple CD's that had done alright but he gave it up to please his parents and go to school to become a doctor. That. Is. Unacceptable. This story is familiar to me and to a lot of the world I'm sure, and it's heartbreaking. There is an epidemic going around to fit in, while we were all made to be our own unique selves and to colour outside of the lines; to leave our unique fingerprint on the world. Our lives are short, we don't get much time here and before we know it we are grown up... and then it hits you like a ton of bricks. "I'm forty-five and I haven't done anything that I've longed to my whole life". I don't want that to be me. I refuse to have that be me.

I am a very spontaneous person, I always have been and I'm sure I get it from the father, the gypsy who has lived and travelled in every single country he has ever wanted. But when I'm bored at Starbucks (which is 24/7) I always think of random ideas in my head and usually share them with the baristas who are near me at the time. Like when I first started at my new store, I told my friend and barista that I had randomly decided to go to England for a while. She told me about how she had studied abroad there and had wanted to go back. We talked about it together for a couple weeks after and I would like to think that I helped convince her to take her sporadic trip to England, and as I write this, she is countries away, enjoying the culture of England and all that is has to offer.

A few days ago I informed my friend and barista Jessie that I had decided that I was going to move to Australia before I turned twenty-one, Jessie of course enjoys teasing me about my random fantasies of travel, but the next day, she told me that I had given her the inspiration to visit Europe with her husband before they settle down and have kids.

I. Love. Being. This. Person. My daydreaming, travelling desires, as well as outspoken talkative personality has helped inspired these girls to do what they love and to colour outside of the lines. I have yet to take any of the trips I plan in my head, but I have sent these two on trips that they will remember for the rest of there lives.

I apologise that this post if all over the place but if you take anything from this post, I hope that it is to:

1- Do what you love to do.
2- Do what makes you happy.
3- Don't let society conform you to the world.
4- Take a sporadic trip, it won't kill you.
5- Lizzie likes to rant.

Please please please, tell me what you think. I want to hear all of your beautiful unique opinions. Xoxo

Mini M.A.C haul/review!

A few days ago, my roommate Paris and I did a mini Mac haul at Nordstroms and we came back with some amazing products! I'm awful I know, but it was my first time at the makeup counter (I usually buy online) and it was a really fun and unique experience... I highly recommend it.

So originally I had gone in for a good eyebrow pencil but at the end of the day I left with no eyebrow pencil at all, but lipstick and foundation instead.

MAC Up The Amp Lipstick

I am not a very bold person, I tend to want to blend in and be more natural, so when the artist pulled this out for me I was hesitant. Bright pink lipstick would never be my thing. Or would it?

Long story short, I tried it on and instantly fell in love! This shade is AMAZING. I have dark brown hair (yes I dyed it again) and pale skin and the lip color just added so much. I definitely would not hesitate to buy this product again. It applies nicely and lasts all day long.

MAC Studio Tech Foundation
I am a picky person when it comes to foundation. Before I purchase any type of foundation I will look up reviews weeks ahead of time and compare because a good foundation is really hard to come across, at least that works good with my skin.

However, I took a leap of faith with this foundation because Paris could possibly be an expert in the area of makeup and she recommended I give it a try because it is her favorite. The Studio Tech Foundation covers up uneven skin tone and leaves a flawless, airbrushed look. Seriously. That's what nearly every foundation brand guarantees but this one really does do the trick. I highly recommend this foundation if you want a wonderful airbrushed look.

What are your favorite makeup products? Tell me in the comments below! (:
