Contacts or glasses?

Good morning Lovelies!

In the time that I have been M.I.A, a few things have changed in my life. I have a very cute and sweet boyfriend, I have started dancing again, I started a different job (bye Starbucks), and I switched out my big black frames for contacts! I guess looking back, my life has changed more than I realized, but certainly in a better direction.

That being said, I have come to the conclusion that contacts have indeed been better than glasses and below is why!

1 - Contacts are easy once you figure out YOUR way to put them in and take them out. I can't even tell you how many Youtube videos I've watched on those two subjects, but I can tell you that none of those worked for me. I realized that everyone has there own way of doing it and it's the best way for each of us.

2 - You can't feel contacts. Glasses move around on your face and you have to consistantly push them up. Which being completely honest, doesn't bug me but it might be an issues for others.

3 - Contacts give you better peripheral. If you look to your far left or far right wearing glasses, it becomes apparent how bad your vision is without them. With contacts in, they cover all the bases and you're only reminded of your terrible vision when you take them out.

4 - Sunglasses. I know there are tons of options out there for prescription sunglasses and all of that, but what if you go to Target and find a cute pair there that you want to buy on the spot? I needed that sort of freedom in my life, and I will tell you that the day after getting contacts, I did that very thing and it was everything I'd ever hoped it would be.

5 - Rollercoasters! I don't know about anyone else, but wearing glasses to amusement parks has always scared me. It strikes a new kind of fear into you when you realize that your vision could fly off your face at any twist or turn, and it also strikes a new kind of fear into you when you ride rides blind. That I will tell you, makes the rides a whole lot more thrilling and not necessarily in a good way. I haven't been to any amusement parks since getting contacts, but I am certain I will be able to go without having those fears in the back of my mind.

6 - You can wear eyelash extensions or falsies better! I have been slightly envious of those people with naturally long eyeslashes since mine are so short you can't even tell I have eyelashes without mascara on, so I am finally getting the eyelash extensions that I have dreamed about for a while now and I couldn't be more excited!

7 - Confidence. Wearing contacts has made me more confident. I truly never had a problem with glasses, I felt like they looked fine on me but having contacts just gives you new freedom and new confidence. It's a good feeling.

Remember that underneath it all, looks isn't what it's about. You can enjoy all of those things with contacts or glasses, it's just fun to have two different options. Love you all! If you have any questions feel free to email me or comment below! XOXO  and yes, I'm holding a donut.

  5. Cute blog! I wish I can wear contacts; my eyes are too dry and I can never keep them in for longer than 3 hours. I gave up awhile ago haha!

    1. Thanks Brooke! I had the HARDEST time taking them out for the first few days but then I used on my left hand, either my middle finger or pointer finger and with my right hand, my pointer finger and just squeezed it out with those fingers. That works best for me but that isn't how the eye doctor told me to do it so hopefully it will work for you! Good luck hon. <3

    1. Girl! I had the same fear. It really isn't bad at all, it's nothing scary and it is so much easier than you think. I wish I would've done it sooner! (: Good luck dear! <3 xoxo

  10. I prefer to wear contacts though it's not convenient to put on liquids on eyes always to avoid dryness.
And you can wear it with different colors too

  11. You make some great points! I wear contacts 5 days a week, but occasionally prefer to have glasses when my eyes are irritated. Contacts do get a lot easier once your blink reflex desensitizes when you are putting them in.

  15. Although I don't wear glasses, I think if I needed to I would opt to wear glasses and find cute frames as I can't fathom the concept of wearing contacts, although having said.. perhaps I'd get used to it like others have! :)
